  Our MWC Woman of the Week is ‘ASHA BIDANI’ who is an Ambassador of MWC’s vision of Empowered Women, Empowered Communities. A graduate of Loretto Convent College (Calcutta, India), Asha served as a Secretary to Health Minister of India for two years. Asha also takes pride in the fact that she had the opportunity of volunteering at Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram, before and after India’s independence. Asha completed her Teacher’s Training in England and served as a Public-School Teacher for many years before she moved with her family to Canada in 1967. In addition to completing several speech therapy courses, Asha obtained her teaching accreditation from York University and served as Speech and Language Teacher in Etobicoke District School Board for 30 years.
