Celebrating MWC's 10-Year Journey!

What a privilege to celebrate the 10 th anniversary of MWC in this month of October, which is also marked as ‘Women’s History Month in Canada’. And this year’s theme is #MakeAnImpact. The history of Malton Women Council is in real sense ‘an impact’, which started with one woman back in 2008. A teacher, an artist, a mentor, a community builder and a leader who was determined to create many more leaders who would then continue the journey of women empowerment and self-actualization, starting from Dunrankin Drive Public School Readiness Centre (in Malton) to their families, their communities and into this global village called ‘world’. The story of Malton Women Council remains untold without the story of Aaloka Mehendiratta (a.k.a. Mrs. Aaloka amongst the MWC community), the woman who provided soil and nourishment for the MWC seed to germinate and direction for it to grow, expand and explore!!
