MWC's Eid-Diwali-Thankgiving Celebrations on October 9th (Report by Jaishree Gupta)
On the eve of Friday, October 9th/ 15, MWC's families and friends came out in bright colors and high spirit to celebrate festivals together. Everyone enjoyed tremendously. Program began with prayers. Uzma Ahmad's son Raham recited verses of Surah-al- Baqra. Uzma Ahmad translated the verses in English. Pushpreet Dhillon recited Shabad (Sikh's prayer). Top most highlights from the celebrations are; * MWC raised $150 through donations and raffles for the 'Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Ontario'. This is what truly serves the purpose of Eid and Diwali- to donate with open heart. Thank you all for your generous donations to make a difference in someone's life. *Mrs. Aaloka ji's presence was a big surprise to us, because she is not been doing well for a long time.
